Glowwarm Economy Plus Boiler has stopped working

Suddenly from this morning the boiler has stopped working. When I turn on hot water or central heating motor runs. But the boiler does not fire up. Gas valve makes a clicking sound like normally does. But the boiler does not fire up.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

I know what the problem is but you will need a gas safe boiler engineer to repair it.

Is the pilot lit? have you tryed to relight the pilot? holding the yellow button in on the gas valve and then pressing the orange or black sparking button a few times?

Gas valve knob turned to the operating position?

We did not touch anything. So, I suppose the gas valve knob should be in ON position. It suddenly stopped working. The pilot light is ON. There is no blockage in the exhaust. Hope gas valve has not become faulty. It was replaced by Gloworm Engineer few years back.

The problem is solved by changing the thermocouple.
