My mums boiler has today broken down, was installed just under 5yrs ago and its decided to go capute... Not very impressed as it was flashing fault this morning so did the reset as advised by glowworm. Turned off system, and then back on, but no screen, no display nothing. Now been told its the PCB board thats gone!! Have been quoted over #350.00 to be installed, excluding VAT.
My mums on her basic state pension and obviously we are now looking at her having to come live with me for a couple of weeks due to the lack of hotwater/heating, surely the PCB boards shouldnt go after 5 years??
Any help/advice would be great

Like any electrical board it can go faulty, there is no life span for a pcb, some fell after 2 years some don't at all.
