Everytime we run a bath after its run the boiler goes to lockout 90
We teh hve to reset it the boiler. This does not occur when we use the shower washing machine or normal running of hot water, just the bath.

hi

have you checked to see what warning lamps turn on?
this might help close in on the fault.[/u]

Yes the boiler goes to lockout light indicates 90 does this help you.

I'm not familar with your boiler but I'm guessing it could be caused by over heating through the high limit stat.

Bath filling imposes a considerable load on combi boilers and if the heat exchanger (brass or st/st plate with 4 pipes) is not free of scale deposits, water flow can be impeded and result in over-heating.

Its also possible that the high-limit stat's circuitry is faulty. Check for loose connections or damaged cable.

Hope this helps.

If your boiler does not have a pump over run or if its non operative and the heat exchanger is lime scaled then there could be a slug of over heated water which operates the o/h stat a few seconds after DHW has ended.

If it is this then you might need a skilled engineer to confirm and clean the heat exchanger or reinstate the pump over run. Not that many will clean main HEs.
