GlowWorm boiler - VERY high pressure

Hi,

Our GlowWorm hxi boiler won't ignite. It has an inbuilt pressure meter and is showing a system pressure of 8.8bars! I don't think the previous owners had the boiler properly serviced. Can anyone suggest what to try to attempt to normalise the pressure, or should we just call a plumber?

That's not the pressure, you need an engineer!

A hxi without regular serving can go on. Self destruct mission. Hopefully that hasn't happened.

The Hxi boiler does not have a pressure sensor as its an unpressurised appliance therefor it cannot indicate a pressure on the display. It sounds more like you have an electrical issue perhaps on the board, but without testing its hard to say.

Id suggest getting an engineer to your property to have a look.
