Hi

I have a mirrored wardrobe in which the glass pane clips on to a metal frame. One of the clips is worn out and I now need to glue it to the frame for extra support. What type of glue would be best?

Ideally non-expanding and neat.
Not too difficult to remove incase it needs gluing again. Silicone?

Many thanks

My guess would be either silicone or 1mm double sided foam tape.

I wouldnt rate your chances of getting it off without 7 years bad luck........:)

Consider those tape strips that you stick number plates on with, or even the pads that stick the rear view mirror to the screen.....very tenacious but you can release them by using a length of wire, cheese cutter style.

Any particular type of silicone?

Mirrorfix, go into your local glass supplier they will have it, might be worth checking screwfix or toolstation.
Don't be tempted to use 'ordinary' silicone as it can eat into the backing of the mirror.

CT1 is good and the website says it is approved for mirrors so I suppose whichever is cheapest and readily available really, I do begrudge paying a tenner a tube for a lot of these types of product though.

Appreciate the input! Thanks.
