Dee Dee, the smallest and youngest cocker in our group has just had the largest litter ever - 5 boys and two girls! Her owner was so worried about the birth that she had the vet on notice that she may be needed to perform a Caesarian - she was very tiny and like a barrel! Anyway, all good so far. :)

Hope mother and babies are all ok.

Your thread title is very similar to my signature by the way.

But which one of the other four done the deed?

Andy
None of them - they are all bitches.

With pedigrees you have to check the bloodline but for this litter, she was taken to Wales for the mating. My friend breeds them as a hobby to keep the bloodline going and she has a waiting list of vetted owners - some have been waiting nearly 2 years. Currently, due to the pandemic and everyone wanting a lockdown puppy, even non-pedigree spaniels are going for up to £2.5k a piece but as she’s not doing it for money they will go for what she normally sells them for which will be sub £1k - you couldn’t get a pedigree cocker for twice that anywhere in the country. She has to keep it quiet though as there are plenty of cases of dog-napping and even burglaries where the mum and pups are taken. There’s an easy £15K+ there for a dognapper. :cautious:
