Hi,

I have tiled 1 of 3 walls in my bathroom using large format porcelain tiles in a brick pattern. The tiles are nice and level and run smoothly across the wall but.... I ran out of 2mm spacer half way up the wall so picked up a new set in a rush and continued on without noticing I had actually picked up 3mm spacers! Wall now finished, dried and ready for grouting and I have noticed when trying to put one of the 2mm spacers that I took out from low level in a 3mm gap at high level and found I have room to spare.

Now I don't know if I can really see the 1m difference and Im aware if I continue on without changing things I will have to continue the same spacing's at the same levels around the room to keep the tile levels correct.... but its starting to drive me crazy looking at it!

Should I rip out the 50% of the wall with the enlarged gap sizes or will it look ok and disappear when grouted?

And yes I am aware that I am a complete donut!

Thanks

L

Give grouting a go. What have ou got to lose? If it looks okay leave it, if not, you know what you have to do.
