The system hasn't been drained since we moved in two years ago. I need to add cleaner and then inhibitor, but there's no drain point.

As we're about to decorate and I need to remove radiators, it's a good time to add one; under the floor in the only room that isn't tiled.

Can I drain the heating and still use hot water? I know you can't with a combi, but can't see why not here.

A pro could do it but needs pipe alterations and other things so no is probably the answer for you , and you are wrong you can do it with a combi, does your HW cylinder have an immersion ? if so just drain everything and heat the water with that .

Cheers! I assume you bypass with a loop on a Combi or such.

Either way, that's what I need to know. I'll be sure to have it all off whilst I drain and refill.
