Once again, comprehension is not your strong point.
Predictably, your lack of comprehension means that my repeatedly telling you this will be wasted on you.
Hypocrisy is yours.

But you just proven it in your own words boyo.

You should sharpen up.

Were they the only ones? No, 110 voted against, I counted 24 Tory, ukip & dup so plenty more from elsewhere. Why do you have to post such misleading statements ?

So now what other Europeans think matters now?

Hahaha you are so predictably dumb trying to justify opposition against tax clampdown.

The powers that be have you on a string.

Cannot be bothered to read all 6 pages tbh.

Every one should pay there fair share of tax. That bloke who owns the daily wail pays none so they say ??

What about that Branston bloke ?? does he pay tax ??

The internet didn’t start out like this and it only got like this because consumers didn’t care where they went as long as it was cheap.

Amazon’s business strategy is to compete with everyone and kill them by being cheaper. If you’ve ever done business with them you’ll realise they are in to some pretty intrusive projects that make google and facebook look like angels.

That's no different than any of the big supermarkets.

If you’ve ever done business with them you’ll realise they are in to some pretty intrusive projects that make google and facebook look like angels.
That they do other things is a separate matter.

Now thats an interesting point.

If brexit weakens the financial position of the average person (I think that is widely accepted as happening), then cheaper and cheaper (including quality ) is where we are headed.

The main thrust of brexiteers appears to be the desire for cheaper imports. Really though the country needs exports, not imports.

Please explain how brexit will help this situation ? Or simply prove me wrong ?

Which is exactly what I said on page 1...!

The problem though is that with austerity having no end in sight, most people have to look for the cheapest option.

And if you've ever traded through Amazon, you'd know that their business model is based on a race to the bottom price wise in order to wipe out the opposition - including you competing against yourself!

So what if they pay 'employment taxes' - so do all other businesses who employ people.

And given that regulations in UK PLC will drop away after we leave the EU, then the already risible tax take will fall even further.
Leaving the ordinary person to make up the shortfall whilst public services wither and die!

"Starbucks’ European unit paid 2.8% UK tax last year "

"

"Starbucks’ European business paid an effective UK tax rate of just 2.8 per cent in the year to the end of October 2017 after a payment from another part of the group boosted profits. The coffee chain, which has in the past faced vocal criticism of its tax affairs in Britain, has revealed that its largest European operation paid $5.9m of tax in the UK on profits of $213m, down slightly from $219m in the preceding year."

" Stripping out the dividend payment, the effective tax rate for the European business — which has 3,000 stores in 40 countries — was 9.4 per cent. The UK corporate tax rate is 19.5 per cent."

Do the country's laws give you such an easy ride?

If not, it must be because you're not a tax-dodging billionaire or multinational.

But you are a voter.

Is it in your interests to vote for a government that permits and encourages freeloaders?

I wonder what Café Nero pay.

Nothing.

2017 UK sales: £313m
2017 UK profit before tax: –£25.5m
Tax paid in 2017: £0

"But lots of companies find legal ways to pay even less – and Caffe Nero has become the latest to attract public criticism for this as it emerged it has paid no corporation tax in a decade, despite making sales of more than £2bn over the period. Despite that not breaking any existing rules, it has led some to call for rules to be changed, or for the coffee shop to change its ways."

"Caffe Nero paid no corporation tax in 2017 – or for years beforehand, but on the face of it this seems reasonable: rather than make a profit, they made a loss of more than £20 million. However, as professor of accounting Prem Sikka noted the company had loans from other companies in its group which charge a huge rate of interest, of more than 20% – despite commercial loans being available at much lower rates. This led him to conclude “profits ha[ve] effectively been shifted from the UK to Luxembourg via a loan deal and has reduced or wiped out the UK tax bill”.
