Grohe Tap Cartridge spares

I recently added some pipe to a circuit using traditional solder - however I did not flush the pipe, and a little bit of solder ended up inside a new Grohe Kitchen Tap, the tap was stuck, and unfortunately was forced, cracking the small ceramic part inside, school boy error I know.

I have called Grohe - but rather than supply the small part - they want to sell me a whole new cartridge for between £30 and £40.

Screwfix have one almost near it, a pair for £5, but am not sure it will fit - anyone have any experience in either obtaining parts, or a cheaper alternative unit - that fits.

These are universal but I think they come in 2 sizes one for sink and basins and one for baths

Is this what you are referring to. There are cheaper suppliers elsewhere

Firefox has a 'copy clean link option, which though is not always available for some reason, this extension also does a similar job:
