Please help.. I think my pump has packed up, whats the best way to check if it has. Its a grundfos selectric pump, its a reddish colour and has a speed dial with 3 settings.... THANKS ALL...

First off, has the pump been run recently? If not, it may just need releasing. Open the screw on the front of it (large flat blade, silver colour) and beneath here is the shaft of the pump - give it some turns with a screwdriver to get it rotating freeling. You may get some dripping. Replace top cover screw, and try again.
If this doesn't work, check you have volts between the brown and blue of the flex at one end or the other, and if you do - the pump is skip-worthy.
