I've got a customer who wants me to fit one of these pumps, think its a up90 with a built in flow switch. All he has in his 4 bed detached house is a couple of mixer taps he wants to boost the hot water flow from. He has a cylinder with a 28mm feed to the cylinder and a 28mm draw off. I'm not too sure fitting this booster with 15mm connections is going to benefit his flow at all and grundfos tech have no idea. Anyone ever fitted one or have any experience?

Yes it's going to boost the pressure a 15mm pipe can easily deliver 25 litres
a minute with a good pressure behind it.

But they only boost the pressure by about 0.6 Bar.

Probably will give about 12 li/min from a 15 mm pipe/tap though.

I'll fit it for him then, but I do have a feeling his taps require a balanced / mains pressure feed.

Do you mean you want to fit the booster on a 22 mm or 28 mm pipe?

If so then a shower type pump is the correct type and not that one.

yes Tony the guy wants me to fit it on the 28mm feed to the cylinder, that's why i'm not sure he will get what he is after
