Hiya...I am trying to replace existing Halogen GU10 spotlight with LED GU 10 spotlight, however the ceiling spotlight holder does not accept a LED GU10 ( cannot twist it to hold it). Not sure why? Is there a difference between LED GU10 & a Halogen GU10?

I found this with some GU10 CFLs
Some of the replacements have a shorter narrow stem which prevents them fitting some holders, compare the two bulbs side by side

I have also found the problem with some cold cathode and LED lamps but same fitting worked OK with others it was angle of the reflector. My daughter had the bulbs which would not fit.

LED bulbs could save you money. Although the price is higher.
As usual, one 5 watt led bulbs is equivalent as 50 watt halogen bulb.
