1. how good are they?
2. how bright are they (equivelent in watts) ?
3 can you wire them up to a 240v mains ok?

i have seen some advertised as white and warm white, what kelvins are we talking here?

Im thinking of getting some, in the long run it will be a hell of lot cheaper, five 50w's in the landing upstairs = 250w each time soon adds up.

also
thanks in advance.

1. depends what you are using them for

2. not very

3. yes, if they are rated at 240v.

what light did you have on your landing before? a 60w pendant? changing from 60w to 250w - is it really nessecary? couldn't you use 20w lamps?

LEDs also are very directional - a concentrated beam of light. Like a torch - you ever had an LED torch? i suppose you could imagine 5 of those in your ceiling.

thanks for your reply!
