I have a guardall DT15 that needs the microwave element disabled, the only way the manual says to do it is to turn on Dipswitch 3 (MW day disable) and then wire an output from the panel up to the test output and 12v in the detector. The detector only has 4 core cable running to it so I can't wire an output up to it due to having no spare cores. Would I be able to place a wire link between 12v and test inside the detector to permanently disable the microwave element? Thanks.

I am turning it off for now because I keep getting false alarms from that detector. The detector in question is fitted in my shed along with another DT15 which has been fine. I'm thinking that they are interfereing with each other.

Ok I see ! You could try an optex mx as the microwave is set at 45 degrees and tend not to cross talk

Thanks sparkymarka, will look into ordering one. Will putting a wire link between 12v and the test terminal disable the microwave for the time being?

It doesn't appear to have a control terminal like on other models. Only pairs for power, alarm, tamper and a test terminal.
