Not used much of the small clayware, do you know if the top piece is removable on those Chris ?

Kev, slope the benching down from the internal edge of the gulley surround to finish flush with the outer edge of the pot if you choose to take that option.

You might find an old stock hepsleve top like the plastic one but in clay - that will cement straight in

Went to a drainage place today and they said just to concrete a smaller one in, so I did and it's perfect if I must say myself, also had to cut drainpipe and stick some ends on

Here goes

Thanks Hugh, was dead easy mate, I'll take a pic tomorrow once I get all the blocks back in

Using the fast set concrete made it a doddle

With it being a smaller drain I've had to use a few new blocks so they stand out a bit, hopefully they will fade fairly soon

It making me want to renew all the blocks, not going to though ££££ not yet anyway

All done :0)

Cheers Hugh

All in all is was a piece of cake to do and I'm pleased I went for that method rathing than ripping the lot up, it looks far better than the drain I had, looks more upto date, I might do the two at the front of house

Thanks for your help / advice throughout mate
