have you resolved this ?

just placing "muck" over gutter joints should only be considered a temporary repair in my view. but then if it's you own and you are happy to keep doing it, perhaps it's not a problem

What sort of gutter e.g pvc, steel, aluminium , ~ domestic / industrial ?

if you need further advice come back to me, privately if necessary

Thanks for comments.

Gutters are wood joining to plastic. Trouble is, the stone roof slates overhang far too much to allow any quick work.

I have pushed up sheet of aluminum between gutter and wall to prevent water soaking in. Thats it until Spring.

Thanks everyone.

Best stuff you can use is TTP Probond i 'borrowed' some work and its still working 3 years later, it v adhesive but moves with the expansion, its more expensive but it certainly works better than any silicone so i guess you get what you pay for. My method was to unclip the gutters, clean the rubbers on the brackets run a bead on the rubbers put the gutters back on and ran a small bead between edge of gutter and seal - hey presto no problems in 3 years
