hairline cracks appearing in newly skimmed, painted wall

I have recently got the skimming and painting done. there was wallpaper on the walls before. they were taken out. builder also did some rendering at places where plaster was coming off. for some walls he had to render the whole wall as the plaster fell off as they took the wallpaper away.

then they did skimming and two coat of dulux matt emulsion paint. now after a month of job done, I see various hairline cracks appearing in the wall. I am quite worried of these as when knocking on the wall where the cracks are, I hear a hollow sound.

builder said he will widen cracks, fill them and repaint. but since they are so many the wall will look as patched wall at places. Not sure what should be the best way to fix these.

I am attaching pictures of couple of cracks as they look.
