Hello,

I had a wall on my house repointed back at the start of January. Given that there's not much else to do I was having a good look at it today and noticed a small amount of hairline cracking.

Is this normal? I figured it might be due to the hot weather or something but it would be good to put my mind at rest.

I think it's related to it being a crap job.

Too strong a mix, wall not damped/damped enough, badly filled, poorly ironed and smudged all over the place for good measure.

And on the plus side?

Thanks for the response. I guess I was concerned it was some kind of movement as that's the standard paranoid reaction. Glad to hear it doesn't look like that.
