Hi..I saw this thread and hope someone can help http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/hall-and-landing-light.101783/
until earlier this week I had exact set up double switch down and single switch up controlling landing light at either end as well as hall light. I have been given for xmas some touch/wifi switches, but new 2 gang switch does not have as many terminals as old, Closest combination (as picture) means lights on and off from the downstairs can turn light off upstairs but wont turn back on.....have tried different combinations including adding in the bridge but cant get to work properly....please help very frustrated, thanks in advance

If you have wired by trail and error , you may have bu--ered the switches. Post a link to the switches you have please.

Thanks,

DS

Hi...the new switches still work individually...new switch downstairs has three terminals L L1 L2 and 2 red and 2 black wires from wall ..new upstairs switch has 2 terminals L L1 and 2 red wires 1 black wire from wall and one of the red wires (without a black) is thinner than other red. In the attached picture downstairs switch will turn on and off the hall or stairs light IF both red in L at upstairs switch but that switch does nothing on its own for the upstairs light..hope this helps..if you need more info pictures let me know cheers

Looks like it also has an N terminal - if the switches need a neutral to work you're b*****ed. And I can't see a terminal in L2. Can see one in L3 which you don't mention.

Also, the new upstairs switch is definitely not a 2-way if it only has 2 terminals, so you're b*****ed.

First question - do you really want these new switches?
