We have bought a new halo thermostat for our boiler as the old one stopped working. Pulled off the old plate to install the new one but the link wire plug is different. Where do I go from here? Is there an adapter you can buy or does it need to be re-wired?

The old one is 3 pins and the new one is 8.

Which Ideal boiler? Might it be different Halo per models, or perhaps now discontinued for a certain model?

The existing thermostat/receiver is an ideal touch connect if that is any help :)
From this thread:

I may be wrong and am happy to be corrected by the pros.
As your Logic has the internal 3 pin connector, it may be too old to have the Halo mounted internally.
(Search YouTube Halo installation with smart interface bracket)
The external bracket will require additional wiring to the boiler, and as the boiler is 'room sealed', this should only be performed by a GSR engineer.
