Good evening all

I'm writing on behalf of a friend  so i'll give you the details he has given me.
Last week he noticed his boiler was leaking from the inside.
The heating and water still all work fine. The pressure is around 1bar.and says it rises slightly when heating is on.
Not needed to re pressure since but still leaking slightly
He got some one out and said that it would need 3 new parts but didn't say what the parts were at a cost of £335
From reading post on here it sounds like the AAV £335 sound alittle steep
Any advise

Ask him for a costing.

The name and price of each part (so you can check it).

Ask how long it will take to fit them.

You'll then know how much he is charging you per hour.

Update
He phoned BG and the came round yesterday
He said all that was wrong was the AAV
£180 fixed fee because it would take around 2 hours
Good old british gas
