Halstead boilers are considered to be one of the economy ranges of boilers. Nevertheless if they are installed on a clean system they can give good service at a lower cost.
Their Eden Band A boiler was brought out a few years ago and have not sold very well perhaps because it was one of the first of the new generation of boilers. It has no reputation for giving any particular problems either because it works well or there are so few installed.
You seem to think that you should buy a "popular" boiler. Some of the more popular boilers are the expensive types like the Vaillant, Glowworm and Worcester.
If you wanted a budget band A boiler then look at the Heatline and Biasi in preference to the Halstead.
