Halstead Quattro boiler. Help wanted

Hello, I have a Halstead Quattro boiler which is 20 years old and I have a maintainence contract with British gas. I have had problems recently , the fault is very intermittant the boiler will run and then shut down with only the fan running, if you open the hot tap the boiler fires and hot water then comes out, British gas have replaced both circuit boards, fan, a sensor but we've still got problems just wondered if anyone can suggest anything before I get the gas board out again

Yeah, ditch BG they are useless and employ the services of a known local heating engineer
