Hi,
I have some high branches that need cutting down which are too high for my telescopic saw to reach.
Been looking into these rope chainsaw sand they look like a good option.
Just wanted some recommendations on products and points to look out for when buying one.
Reading around there's lots of talk it's people taking them hiking.
My need is purely for gardening so size, weight etc, not an issue.
Grateful for any advice and recommendations.
Thanks

I've never used one of these things but when I've watched others using them they always seem to stick, especially when the branches were thin :( Probably a theoretical solution which works well in an ideal situation of course.
I think I'd try making one myself using a length of chain first.
Over to the others!
John :)

Thanks.
Sticking was my concern. Don't want to be stuck with a section of chain dangling from a partly cut branch.
Don't have any spare bits of chain to try it with.
They don't look that expensive to buy so willing to give it a go.
Was after some product recommendations or aspects to look out for when making a choice.

Not really. There's a few branches that are quite high.
To pay someone would be too expensive.
These rope chainsaws are about 20 quid.
