Hanging Barn Doors

Hi all,

I've a pair of barn doors as pictured below I intend on mounting into the end of a single garage and have a couple of questions?

How much gap should I leave in the middle of the doors, I was thinking 5mm should be enough for any seasonal expansion or should I leave more, the rebate on the right door should cover upto 10mm.

Secondly the doors will be going flush into the wall, what gap should I leave between the brickwork and door edges? And am I correct in thinking I will need hook and band cranked hinges to allow them to sit flush with the brickwork?

Exposed to weather [as they look to be] then they can expand easily by 10mm each.
