Hard wax oil on top of factory matt oil

I am about to lay my engineered oak floor - it has a factory coat of matt oil. Am I correct in thinking there is no harm in applying osma hard wax oil satin matt on top, straight away (one coat)
My thinking is that the factory one will not be the very best and also the factory one is matt and I would prefer a satin

Think your best bet would be to apply one coat of maintenance polish instead of one (of the normally two) coat of HardWaxOil.
You can buff the polish to the shine of your liking.

Buffing sounds like hard work - rather than one coat of hard wax oil

Depends, using an old fashion - eco-friendly - buffing block makes it very light work
