Hardboard floor

I have hardboarded my landing floor pre carpet. But I ahve got the smooth surface facing up where it should be down. Will it still be ok ?

Should be OK, just a bit slippy till you get carpet down, the fitter can bang in a few extra staples through the underlay if needed, to stop it moving.

It will be fine. Dont make the same mistake with the carpet though
