Hi all, have a few questions about hardie board preparation and installation sheet that can be picked up from topps tiles . Shop assistants didn't know much about the process himself. The boards are going on top off floorboards, then porcelain tiles
Firstly, it says existing floor that must not flex by more than 3mm over 4m. If so, should I use overboard with ply instead , or not lay solid tiles at all ?
secondly, it tell you to spread adhesive with 6mm notched trowel prior to laying boards. Does that mean the floorboard should be sealed with something in advance ?
thirdly, are you suppose to joint the gaps and apply jointing tape as you go along, or do you first lay all the board then wait for adhesive to set ?
