i have just tiled my kitchen floor and had to use self level compound in a large area in the middle. i hovered the concrete base to start with and then just laid the self level down. i didnt use any pva. so the tiles and adhesive have gone on top of this.

will i be getting problems soon with the self level breaking away from the screed? i also have UFH in this room.

I'm assuming you meant hoovered (vacuumed). "Hovered" is levitation...

I would have thought you'd be fine. Out of interest, what did the SLC instructions say?

yes hoovered (but spell check corrected it :))

SL instructions said use pva. i didnt have any and so went ahead.

i have used it before and not had any bad reactions when leaving out the pva, but then i realised i have UFH underneath and so thought this would make a difference with contraction/expansion.

i just wanted to see if anyone thought i would really have some big problems. thanks you have reassured me.

Not all SLCs are compatible with UFH make sure the one you used is. Though wet heating is not as bad as electric
