Hi All,

My oven is a SMEG SE375MFX5

I checked the instructions manual and it said do not clean with Ammonia based products, so I was looking for something suitable in the supermarket. I bought Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner which didn't mention Ammonia in the ingredients.

Anyway I've cleaned the oven and although the surface is clean, cloudy white marks remain on parts of the interior. These don't remove with warm water.

Can anyone suggest what these might be, and how to remove them.

Many thanks for any help.

Looks like either residue cleaner or the surface of the enamel has worn, did you use wire wool? If it is just residue I would try a cream cleaner, like jiff, & wash it off with soapy water.
