having a go at soldering...

Before I start doing soldering can anyone tell me if it's a fairly easy skill to pick up, or is it a cursing and swearing experience?

I need to fir t connectors so are they extra tricky?

Diy type skill.. As long as you have good access to fitting.
Ensure pipe & fitting is clean.
Heat slow & even

I remember the first time I tried soldering (im a sparky), I warmed it up, I thought 'oh I'll just straighten the pipe up in the fitting', and forgets its RED HOT
