having to bleed 2 out of 6 radiators???

I have recently moved into a new house and constantly have to bleed 2 rads (the downstairs rad its only the back bit thats cold).

I have a back boiler system, with tank in the loft, it is negative pressure pump etc. i've reduced the pump speed with no joy and checked the level in the loft tank, its ok, anybody any suggestions?

Hi, i think you may have a corrosion problem inside your heating system.
Call a engineer out for a power flush and treatment. this should cure your problem.

I think there are many things to check before that. System could be incorrectly configure pipe wise and either dragging in air or pumping over thus dragging in aerated water.

By the way if the pumps on the return you are turning the system off when you bleed right?!

thanks for the replies boys, i guess the flush is quite expensive then?

Yes im turning the heating off.

How do you find out if the pipes are dodgy because ive just replaced all the carpets!

Carpets shouldnt matter cos its the ones higher up that usually course a problem.
You need a heating engineer that has been doing the biz for a few years who knows about system design!
