Collect a shed find Hayter 48 Quantum model 424v autodrive.

Not run for 10+ years, I have put some redx in the plug hole as I think the bore was very dry, pulled the start cord to move piston, left to soak.

Is there any other precautions I should take be for trying to start mower ?

Going to strip carburetor fit new primer bulb ( as this is perished ).

What colour is the mower as there is a rust patch on the deck,I believe they did more then one green.

Thanks

Make sure the oil level is good, change it if it’s filthy and use new fuel.....once it comes to life then you can tinker with it more. It could be a good move to check the air filter too but it will run without one.
As you have the plug out, check for a spark.
Sorry, can’t help with the colour!

All good, everything cleaned + new plug + oil .

Pulled cord started 3 pull !! after 10+ years can't be bad.

Only problem leak on fuel pipe next to carb where there is a clip,

don't know if there is enough to cut and push back on if not it's a new pipe. would then have source one of these.
