Hazard lights not working

Hello all.

I have an R Reg Ford Escort Estate, 1.6. I have noticed that the Hazard Lights aren't working and when you press the Button to turn them on the indicators don't work. I'm guessing that by having the button pressed in, this disables the indicators.

Is there any obvious reason for the Hazards not working. Is there a seperate Fuse?

I would suspect the hazard warning switch itself. The fact that the indicators dont work proves that the wiring is OK as far as the switch, it should connect both sides together in hazard mode and obviously isn't.

hi,,

take it your indicators work ? if not i would suggest its the hazard switch,. if they do work (not when hazards switch is pressed) then again, if no seperate fuses it will be the switch, cant say i have ever seen 2 relays 1 for ind 1 for hazards,,, usually use the same relay so that is fine,, and all lines are fine..
