Looking to buy a head torch for work, any recommendations?

Depends what use, these are good for close up work as the twin lamps over each eye reduce shadow.

Buy five from the pound shop - a fiver for the best head torches I've ever found. Loads of LEDs, Loads of light. Adjustable angles. If you leave it in some loft or drop it down some drain - so what? Get a new one out.

Yes. totally agree. They're great lights and you can't beat the price. The one I've got even has a separate light unit with a magnet on the back so you can slide it off the headband and stick it on metal.

If you want something more substantial, AutoExpress did a test recently on head torches.

A lot of them are very dear. But this one gets a decent write up for its sub-£3 price-tag.

Whether it is any better than the £1 bargain, I don't know.
