Heat line boiler - hot water not HOT!

Hiya all

Can someone help me please our boiler is playing up. Questions............... 1. The heating is fine but the water is not warming up and the pilot does not kick in when the water runs. Any ideas? 2.We have British gas coming Monday to service the boiler and its costing £100 - ridiculous. Who you can suggest? 3. Who would you recommend to have to insure our boiler so we're covered if it goes wrong?

£100 isnt unreasonable for a breakdown, if you get a decent boiler to start with then you shouldnt need insurance on it, just get it serviced

Why have you chosen BG?

Why not a local independent?

If the turbine was jammed then we would charge £84 in our local area to diagnose and clean it.

....we chose BG because we know someone who has used them a few times and the service has always been very good. Although we're happy to use an independent we would rather have a referral and don't know any! Thanks for your feedback though. Appreciated.

You could try asking Manortim who posts on here but Wiltshire is a large county with slow roads.
