O.K say if a person complains that there gas fire is not hot enough,so you do all your checks and you find all correct,heat input gross and net, flue etc etc.Then the question comes what is the heat output of that fire,other than looking at its data plate is there a calculation to convert what is going in to what is coming out ?
 
Only if you know the efficiency of the appliance which the manufacturer will have used to obtain the figure on the data plate.
