Hi all,
The ceilings in my place have been painted with textured paint (not artex but poly ripple or something like that) by the previous owner approx 20 years ago.
I want to get a nice finish and i have decided to replace the ceilings the question is if the existing lath & plaster is boarded over with 12.5mm board then skimmed will this give any extra heat/sound insulation.
The existing ceilings are reasonably good and well attached.
