heated towel radiator

Hello,
I want to replace the radiator in my bathroom with a heated towel rail. Is it ok to dig a chanel in the wall and run the pipes up to the required height? At the moment the pipes come out of a timber floor straight into the radiator.
Thanks.
 
Yep go for it, but don't forget to protect the pipes from plaster etc.
