Heating Control switch

Alright lads
i have a fiesta v-reg and back in the summer i replaced the heater value , this did not stop the heat from belting through into car so i switched the hoses so it bypassed the inside of car, now its getting chilly am wanting to get the heaters back on. Problem is once i put hoses back into correct position am going to get constant hot air, how can i get the control to work again, my hot/cold control switch inside the car thanks in advance

The dash switch enjoys a failure rate just like the heating valve, but not as common!
I think you can reach it with the trim removed from below the dash in that area.
