heating trips fuse board!

If it was me, I would remove all wires to your valve, that eliminates live to neutral, live to earth, neutral to earth (assuming it could be an RCD being tripped) faults.

Well small update....

1st 1 have 3x 2port valves...not 3port as first thought..

I ran the hot water all night no problems, got to look this morning..pushed the lever makered lougne rads to open, heating rads 5 mins then boom trips the lot....

so i tried opening the other port marked main rads and closed the other ,again min bang loose the lot..

I have just looked through my cover, and i can call out a sparky, for ememrgency cases,do you think the is going to be electrical or heating related??

when you say "bam" "boom" and "bang" do you mean you heard a noise? Where from?

Did you follow the advice about searching for water leaks and disconnecting suspect parts?

hi skatewing my moneys on your pump
don't know for sure but sounds as if you have an updated pumped central heating/gravity hot water system, the other two port valve will be connected to a cylinder stat to control the hot water temp

can you select CH only at the programmer or does the HW get automatically selected as well?

the reason that both zone valves on the heating side are blowing is that they will both be switching on the pump when open
try disconnecting it (if competent to do so) to proove
matt

I know that just no mention of Solar etc here to suggest a multi coiled cylinder. Only mention is of 2 heating zone valves and a HW one. Besides I think the whole cylinder coil quantity is irrelevant to the fault

Oh god not again.

We'll have a page count next with rolling eyes.

Glad your well softus.

Paul.

If we dont engage with 'it', do think 'it' will go away? Its somewhat similar with primates, aggressive dogs with small 'bits', and the occasional belligerent drunk.

Shall we all come back in 5 pages times, when the 'drivel posts' have been exhausted?

Just a thought.

Paul.

Check CH zone valves aren't leaking through the spindle. Seen it happen plenty causing this sort of thing
