heatline boiler

hi i have a heatline 24 boiler heating works fine but he hot water aint working properly when you turn on the hot tap it goes hot then cold if you turn the tap just a little bit it works fine

Hi Sparky, is it a new boiler or an existing one? If your having to slow the flow down it sounds like ther boiler isn't able to cope with the flow rate....

Which Heatline 24 ? Heatline is the manufacturer and 24 means 24KW there are quite a few models

Blocked plate heat exchanger is favourite.

ive took off the secondry heat exchanger all clean put back and still doesnt work

Sparky, Heatline boiler, 7 years old! Done well. probably time to change it. DHW heat exchanger might seem clear but scale in it is reducing it's capacity to transfer heat.. Either replace the h/e or replace the boiler i'd say

How do you know what its like inside?

The diagnosis of a blocked plate is an excessive temp differential across it!
