Please avoid this cheap unreliable piece of rubbish. only one year old and condemed by british gas. replacement fan delivered a day late and broken due to being thrown into a cardboard box no packing to protect it. the boiler was condemed due to gaps and holes in side panel. a design fault but still sold to the public!

Its the cheapest boiler on the market.
Nevertheless its capable of perfectly good service if properly installed on a clean system.
As its BG service listed I dont think that it can have a "design fault" which makes it unsafe.
Can you refer me to the person who condemmed it so that I can make further enquiries?

This is an old post I've come across but i'm experiencing the same problem today.
BG came over to perform an initial check (in prep for signing up to their homecare service) on my Heatline C24/28 boiler (after being running for almost 2 years) and condemned it due to the 2 matchstick sized holes in the frame/casing (at the top, on either side of the combustion chamber) that are revealed when you remove the front panel.
According to BG, it is unsafe but appears to be a design fault. The holes have not been created, they were always there. I've a Heatline engineer coming to have a look but I fear that I'll be stuck in the middle of 2 companies - one who says it's fine and the other that says it's unsafe.
Familiar situation or dodgy installation?
