Heatmiser PRT - what does it replace!?

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my current thermostat that's on the wall in the hallway.

I've found this one from heatmiser which has mostly positive reviews from this forums:

My question is, does this also replace the mechanical timer I have in the airing cupboard? ie - does that then become defunct?

Hi clf-gas - not sure how that helps?! I do have three wires plus the earth so I guess 'technically' it will fit - but does the unit replace the mechanical thermostat downstairs AND the mechnical timer in the airing cupboard? or just the mechnical thermostat downstairs.
