Heatrae Sadia shower - leaking from white circular plastic..

yes where on the shower did you get that from it don't tally up with any numbers i've got.

It's on the inside label, label reads

Heatrae Sadia Carousel

Cat Number 95 021 535

Serial 44xxxx

With the cover off:-

Upper right is mains distribution wires.

most of left side is copperesque barrel, I assume this is the heater unit

under the copper barrel is the pipe out to the head unit

bottom middle is the white plastic circle unit the you turn to increase or decrease the temp and as that's where the leak is coming from I assume it's some kind of flow control unit?

I assume the flow valve is Q?

Do flow valves just wear out or is it more likely a seal has gone?

Yes they do fail quite often and yours hasn't done bad at all for age.
Do you want the good or bad news first ?

Yes time to say goodbye to it i'm afraid.

In that case if you were going to pick a reasonably decent replacement unit which manufacturer and model would you choose today?

An which manufacturers would you never touch?

Keep away from creda, galaxy, gainsborough, redring.

i useally fit triton, mira, aqualisa.

middle of the road are mx, newteam

Triton tend to have power, water feed on the right same as yours.
Mira tend to be on the left.

All depends if you can afford to move the shower over 8" or so.

Near Southend.

Screwfix do some good deals on triton or mira.
if you can move the shower over 8" the mira sports a good shower.
but as said power, water is on the other side.

Also check on your cable and fuse etc when getting another shower may need upgrading.
