We have just replaced the divertor valve which also came with a new microswitch and we still have no hot water. The central heating is working fine. You can hear the click of the microswitch when you turn on the hot tap now which you couldn't before but boiler does not ignite. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

check to see that the micro switch is moving you can do this manually, I cant think of a good reason why it wont fire up if you've changed the complete assembly.
I used to have a 9.24 in by own house so i know the boiler is reliable.

Have you correctly refitted the microswitch wires?

Check TWICE ! The book is quite good.

On some models you have to remove the gas valve to change the diverter valve.
