I have a large heavy mirror that I want to hang. All my walls are brick internally, 1950's ex local authortity. it weighs about 35 kg.
I have seen a large picture hung on, what looked like large screws, into what looks like metal rawl plugs.
I need to know exactly what sort of screws I need, and how to do it. I am a newbie to DIY, and have no knowledge, but do have a good drill !

7mm drill. Brown plugs and 2 inch size 10 screws.

What sort of brick? If it's lightweight ash then you might have a problem

The walls are solid brick walls, very hard to drill, old council house, built like a bomb shelter.
Joe....thanks, I was told I needed screws with metal plugs. Thanks.
