Hi, I was told to use air admittance valve to stop sink from gurgling in doing out my new house. Also I understand this can help prevent unwanted smell.

The sink meets a run which the dishwasher and washing machine join before tunelling outside the house.

Please see below image, is the current thinking of the air admittance valve in the blue boxes OK, even though it could be crowded by the base unit. Air still exists around it lol, so assume OK? Any other thoughts welcomed.

The AAV should ideally be as high as possible under the worktop (as close as possible to the "spillover level of the appliance it serves" i.e. the sink).

You could cut the vertical waste pipe a few inches below the elbow. disconnect the trap outlet and slightly loosen the other trap nuts, you'll then be able to fold th trap towards you and win enough distance to insert a tee on the horizontal waste pipe. You can then exit the tee horizontally to the left and use elbows to get to your (vertical) valve tucked up at the back under the draining board.

1m pipe, 1 connector, 1 tee, some elbows, solvent cement.

If there's length enough on the existing horizontal waste to squeeze a tee in then so much the easier.
