This morning the boiler pressure gauge was dropping below recommended area and I stupidly added water and now the pressure in very high. It reads 2.3 and is very high on gauge.

I have tried draining off water via radiator bleeding valve but no effect.
i am really worried I have done something that will damage.

It is a Valliant eco combi boiler. Please help if you can.
Thanks, Mike

But don't use the pressure relief valve to release the excess pressure, as it may not re-seal properly afterwards.

Try using a draincock (underneath a downstairs radiator), with a length of hose attached, and when the system's cool, obviously ;)
